...for the first of the month. Ahhh the bruises, we still do this in our house. It is usually me that is the receiver of the pinching and punching whilst innocently making breakfast for the kids. Maybe I might have to wake them up early tomorrow so I can get my own back for once....lol. But would it really be fair to wake them with a pinch and a punch I am not sure, but then again game on....I really copped it last month.
For this week Audrey and I have created two kits, they can be seen in the shopfront on the right side bar of my blog. Our first kit 'Red Vintage Inchie' is following on from the tile canvases and is made of inchie tiles set into a frame. The finished project measures 9.5cm x 11cm and is made in gorgeous vintage red and cream colours. Some tiles are raised up and others set back making it an interesting piece. All of the products, instructions and photographs are included in the kit and the price within Australia and New Zealand is $19-00. It costs $24-00 for other overseas destinations. Ink and glue will be required to complete the project.
and a close up image.
Our second kit is a 'Home Sweet Home' wooden frame kit, measuring 24cm x 19.5cm. Because of the weight of the wooden frame this kit is only available within Australia. The frame is embossed in the corner and has these quite intricate houses in a row down the bottom. What street scape isn't complete without a tree, birdhouse and cute little bird. All of the products are included in this kit (over 60 of them), full instructions with photos, postage and handling. Some ink and paint will be required. We only have 12 of these kits available and already they are selling fast to those on our mailing list. The cost is $48-00 all inclusive.
and some close up's.
Once again it's been a very busy week Audrey and I have taught 6 classes and I thought I'd share some of the finished projects. It started last Wednesday at Scrapbook Central where we made two delightful boxes, some of the girls are using the large box as a gift card storage box or an address card storage box.
We are teaching a follow up to this class on Wednesday night, where the girls will make 6 quick cards and 6 gift tags. Here's a peek at that. There could be a couple of spots left, but best to check with Scrapbook Central about that.
We then headed 'bush' .....hehehehe, its not really bush but just over an hours drive from home, to Rockingham and Made With Memories where we taught three classes from early in the morning until late into the night. First up was our technique book, so many different and very hands on techniques. It was fun as we split into two groups, ala Master Chief, I headed up the red team and Audrey the blue team and it was a race to the finish. I think I was the most mischievous, hiding Audrey's sample, not passing on the tissue paper and anything else I could think of to sabotage them winning. Need I mention the red team won....lol.
The next class was the Shabby Chic layout...Audrey taught this whilst I did a repeat of the technique book.
And we finished off the day with our card class. The theme was A Touch Of Blue...
And then it was Saturday and we taught two classes at Tomorrows Memories. The first one was this butterfly frame.
and then the last class for the week was this technique based dress form frame, you should have seen how dirty the girls hands were, but they all seemed very happy with the end result. We had some fun in these classes too, there is always some mischief when we get together, although it could turn around and bite us in the bum.....Jo left her camera in the classroom and we took many many many very bad and very naughty photos.....tsk tsk tsk.
Anyway enough on classes past, we have a couple coming up in the next week. On Saturday at Scrapbook Central we have the most amazing fibre-lusciously gorgeous storage box, it can be used for storage of the cuttlebug storage folders or to house 8.5" x 11" layouts. The storage box is made from scratch so it will be a very interesting class indeed. I am not sure if there are still any spaces available, best to contact Scrapbook Central direct about that.
Then next Wednesday night we are back at Tomorrows Memories for these delightful coat hangers class. There is the choice of either a pink or blue hanger. They are a little intricate but look positively sweet hanging in any home.
And now for some of my ponderings...
Like many people all over the world I admit to sadness over the death of Michael Jackson. I am of the age where I grew up listening to him and before that The Jackson 5. I was 14 when 'Off The Wall' came out and looking back at those film clips I can understand why I fell in love with him. It has been a time to reflect on my own childhood, teen years and later in life; to relish those memories associated with his music. I spent half of Sunday watching and re-watching my DVD's and the rest of the time I've had his CD's playing in the background. They say a picture speaks a thousand words...and this one speaks volumes.
Its just so very very sad.
Take care everyone, love and be loved.
Max
